On the morning of May 30, 2023, the Business School and Oliver Hart Research Center of Contract and Governance invited Fang Shuwu, Vice Chairman and General Manager of China Enterprise Federation - Zhongqitian (Beijing) Engineering Design Consulting Co., Ltd., to conduct research at our institute. Both sides have in-depth exchanges on regional industrial planning research, school enterprise cooperation, talent cultivation, and other aspects, which contributes to the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta through the efforts of the Business School. Professor Wu Yuming, Executive Director of Oliver Hart Contract and Governance Research Center, Associate Professor Jiang Shicheng, Deputy Director, Professor Yang Fengmin from the Department of Economics, and Xu Liping, PhD candidate in Applied Economics, participated in the symposium and exchange.

Professor Wu Yuming warmly welcomed the arrival of General Manager Fang Shuwu. He first gave a brief introduction to our institute's advantageous disciplines, faculty strength, talent cultivation, and integration of industry and education. Committed to the organic combination of theoretical knowledge and practical problems, promoting teaching and research to serve economic and social development, and cultivating high-quality business talents for society. Deputy Director Jiang Shicheng focused on introducing the research areas and team members of the Oliver Hart Contract and Governance Research Center. He discussed and exchanged ideas on potential areas of cooperation, project cooperation, and integration of industry and education between the two sides in the future.

Fang Shuwu expressed sincere gratitude to the Business School for its reception and positive affirmation of the work achieved by the Business School. He gave a detailed introduction to the organizational structure, main functions, and other basic information of the China Enterprise Federation and China Technology Market Association, with a focus on the main objectives and business areas of China Enterprise Tian (Beijing) Engineering Design Consulting Co., Ltd. Taking the development project of soil salinization control in Bachu County, Xinjiang as an example, this article elaborates in detail on how enterprises can combine local characteristics and serve local governments and farmers through the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.

Finally, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation related matters, and conducted in-depth exchanges around specific matters such as regional industrial planning research, technology services for society, talent cultivation for industry education integration, and project cooperation. Basic consensus and preliminary willingness to cooperate were reached.
