Professor Wu Yuyan first extended a sincere welcome on behalf of the Hart Center to the visiting delegation led by Mr. Cai Yihong. He systematically introduced the academic strengths of East China University of Science and Technology and its Business School. He pointed out that the Business School, leveraging the university's research strengths in chemical engineering, new energy, new materials, and biomedicine, has innovatively established an integrated training model of "Business + Engineering + Science + Technology" (iBEST). It has three first-level discipline doctoral points and a 5+1 professional degree training system, and has consistently ranked among the top in Mainland China in the QS World University Rankings by Subject. As the first research institution in China named after a Nobel laureate in Economics, the Hart Center focuses on the research of incomplete contract theory and ESG (Environment, Social, Governance), and is currently building a collaborative innovation platform for industry, academia, and research.

Chairman Cai Yihong highly praised the academic influence of the Hart Center and gave a detailed introduction to the development of the China-Malaysia Chamber of Commerce and Fupeng Green Science and Technology. He pointed out that as a leading enterprise in the field of environmental protection technology, Fupeng Green Science and Technology has always adhered to the concept of "innovation-driven sustainable development" and has accumulated a deep technical reserve in the fields of new material research and development, intelligent detection equipment manufacturing, and environmental protection product manufacturing. Based on an in-depth analysis of the strengths of both sides, he proposed three major strategic cooperation directions: First, in the field of material science, he hopes to jointly build a joint laboratory with East China University of Science and Technology, entrust the professor team to carry out cutting-edge technology research and development, and the enterprise will provide special scientific research funds. Second, in the field of intelligent detection, it is planned to integrate the technical forces of both sides to develop portable automated detection equipment and break through the volume and cost bottlenecks of traditional detection instruments. Third, in the ESG field, it is planned to jointly build a demonstration base, introduce the resources of the Global ESG Leaders Forum, and jointly cultivate benchmark enterprises for sustainable development.

Professor Wu Yuyan responded positively to the cooperation vision put forward by Chairman Cai Yihong. He emphasized that the Hart Center has always been committed to promoting the deep integration of economic theory and industrial practice, and ESG research is one of the key development directions of the center. Cooperation between the two sides in promoting the research and development of new materials, intelligent equipment manufacturing, and ESG not only conforms to the national science and technology innovation strategy, but also highly matches the iBEST talent training model of the Business School. He suggested that both sides should quickly sign a strategic cooperation agreement, establish a regular communication mechanism, start from specific projects to gradually deepen cooperation, and in the future, explore the joint construction of a joint research center or industrial college.
